Overview
This article details the users available in a D7 installation, in case you want to use a user other than root.
Information
If you are using only D7 packages, then you can only use the root user, as most of the drivers and tools are handled only through the root user.
If you are using SIGTRAN packages like SGC or SG, then you can make use of the sgcadm (SGC) or sgadm (SG) user to start, stop, and configure D7.
The users sgcadm/sgadm will be created as part of the D7 SGC/SG packages installation process.
