Checking the changes made by a specific user

Overview

You want to check the database to find out who made a specific change to your MGR GUI instance (like creating a new batch job), as you are suspecting a leakage within your system.

Information

To get this information, you don't have to connect to the database. To audit errors and changes made by users in the MGR GUI, complete the following steps:

  1. Log into the MGR GUI instance.

  2. Navigate to the Settings > Errors and Changes > User Changes section.

  3. On the right side of the screen, you will be able to see a full log of changes made in the MGR GUI. With this information, you can audit the changes by "User", "Domain", "Target", "Operation", and "Time".

  4. Click the record you want to audit to get more information about the change.

Alternative Method

The user changes data is also store in the following location: var/TextPass/MGR/tp_mgr_change_log.txt

  • The first column represents time in the Unix format.
  • This file contains a much longer history than the UI method.
