Overview

You notice issues in the SMSC server with the following database alarms related to the SSI functionality:

Original Time Event Managed Object Additional Text

The local SSI server is required by your configuration

You may have tried restarting 'ndbmtd' service on the affected nodes without success, with the following error message:

2021-02-09 11:26:08 [ndbd] ERROR -- Failed to allocate nodeid, error: 'Error: Could not alloc node id at <IP_address> port <port_number>: No free node id found for ndbd(NDB).'

Starting '/usr/local/sbin/ndbmtd' may have also failed.

Solution

The SSI is a process that is related to the SPF NDB cluster, and this issue is usually in the NDB Cluster itself. To resolve the issue, please create a support ticket so the support team can perform a rolling restart on the SPF cluster.

<supportagent>Agents only: escalate the ticket to the Professional Services team to request their support on resolving the issue.</supportagent>
