Overview

You may wish to know what are the critical SNMP alarms/traps to send out from the SMSFW. 

Information

1. Please refer to the attached SNMP_Trap_Reference_Guide, where you can find the SNMP traps with Critical severity.
2. Our recommendation to upload complete MIB files in your Alarms Management System to recognize and properly decode all SNMP Traps OID with corresponding severities from the SMSC.
3. As some alarms may happen more frequently in some systems while a different set of alarms may occur in other systems, there is no generic critical trap/alarm list that we can recommend. All of them have to be considered. 
4. If you need further help, please contact support and include provide syslog examples (/var/log/messages) from the Traffic Elements so we can check frequent SNMP trap occurrences, and make some recommendations.
