Overview

You want to know how you can perform character conversion from Latin1 to GSM 7 bit, e.g. for currency symbols such as £, $, ¥ (Pound, Dollar, Yen). You may have this requirement in order to properly display SMPP messages on handsets.

Solution

On the MGR GUI you need to define the Character Set Conversion table as indicated below and assign it to the application.
