This article confirms that the root direct SSH login can be disabled on SMSC nodes without any impact on Lithium applications.
We recommend applying the changes to the test nodes or in a few nodes in production before the complete rollout. In this way, end-users can monitor possible impacts on customized scripts or installed tools without our involvement.
Important! You must keep the textpass user direct ssh login. The root password may be required by Skyvera support when accessing the systems.
