SMSC Testbed unresponsive with iLO error: Embedded Flash/SD-CARD

Overview

This article provides information on resolving the issue with the SMSC Testbed being unresponsive and not getting rebooted from iLO. The iLO Event Log shows following errors:

Embedded Flash/SD-CARD: Error writing media 0. physical block 4: SMSC USX2065 unexpected command (out of sync?).

Embedded Flash/SD-CARD: The AHS file system mount failed with (No such device).

Embedded Flash/SD-CARD: Error writing media 0. physical block 0: Timeout

Additionally, there is no response after providing the login credential in the remote console access, with following error:

No irq handler for vector (irq -1)

Information

As per iLO logs, this might require updating the BIOS/ iLO Firmware.

Updating firmware is out of scope for Newnet Lithium team and must be performed by your Hardware Support team.
